Paul Inwood

Paul Inwood is an internationally-known composer, organist, choral conductor, author and workshop presenter. Previous positions include organist at Clifton Cathedral and St John’s Cathedral Portsmouth, and diocesan director of music in Arundel & Brighton and Portsmouth dioceses. He was one-time editor of the SSG’s journal Music and Liturgy and is a past president of the international liturgical music study group Universa Laus.
The founder of the St Thomas More Group of composers, Paul was also responsible for introducing the music of Taizé to the British Isles in the 1980s,and the music of the Iona Community to the USA in the 1990s. He was Pastoral Musician of the Year for NPM (USA) in 2009, and in 2015 won the competition to compose the official Vatican Hymn for the Holy Year of Mercy, sung by millions around the world.
His music is published by OCP, GIA, Liturgical Press, McCrimmons, A&M, RSCM and many other music imprints including his own, Magnificat Music.
